Medical Camp @ Moro

September 26, 2010 § Leave a comment

Today was quite interesting and busy. Started of at 5:30am in the morning, had to pick one of the doctors who volunteered for coming to see the patients at our medical camp in moro. had organized a medical camp in Moro with the help of a local on ground Wadera. We were able to help 1000 patients with their medical needs.
I was put incharge of bringing all the doctors from Karachi to Moro. We reached Moro quite late. Our driver was driving very slow on our way to Moro, so it took us 6.5 hours to reach there. Moro is 324 kms from Agha Khan, Karachi. You can pretty much calculate what must have been our average speed then.
Any way we reached there at 1pm and then quickly started to work because there were many patients ready with their registration done at our registration counters. had organized today’s medical camp quite well. And it would not had been completed with out the help of doctors and other volunteers who came with us to help. It was a great job done in a semi professional way. As it all started the pace was a little slow as we were getting in to the gear. Meaning getting everything streamlined. All went guite well overall. Everybody who came got to meet a doctor and get professional advice and prescriptions. The doctors were giving prescriptions and as we had our
on ground make shift despensori, so we were giving them the medicines for free too.
We got done at 5:30pm and then headed for Tea at the Wadera’s House. His house was huge. Like no place i have ever been to. Pictures shall speak louder then my words in this.
At 7:15pm we were back on the road, heading back to Karachi. We reached Karachi at 1:15am the next day.
