It was just amazing to spend the Eid days for the first time not sitting home and meeting people whom you have never met for the whole year. Golf was the main focus this time! In full relaxed mode I played golf for 3 days with great people. The weather was amazing, the venue was also one of the best and the company in which I got the chance to play was also phenomenal.
Islamabad Golf Club has 18 holes + I heard that they are making 9 more. With beautiful long fairways and fairly tough roughs, I think one can not get a better challenged course living in Pakistan. I being an 18 handicap, found it pretty good. 🙂
Here are some pictures that I took:

Wow what a nice way of starting a Sunday morning. I picked up my backpack and headed towards DelaWala. It was around 6:00 am as the sun was coming out. I was with 2 friends from our offroadpakistan.com group (Khalid Omar & Mahera Omar). At DelaWala a group know as Critical Mass was gathering to bike all the way to Quaid e Azam Mazar and back. There were approximately 20 bikers including us 3. The ride was approximately 18 km bike ride.
Critical Mass is a cycling movement out there on the streets of Karachi and also around the world. The group sets out at a set location and time, to pedal through set routes. They join together to reclaim public spaces and view the city through new angles. All bikes and bikers are free to join and play an essential part in promoting the nation and saving its environment! 🙂
The rout that we took was:
- 3 Talwar
- Martiot Hotel
- Zainab Market
- Mobile Market
- Capri Cinima
- Quaid e Azam Mazar
- Norani Kabab house
- Shera-e-Faisal Main Road
- FTC building
- then off to home DHA 🙂
The whole ride and experience was great. I think it could be organized better, as for people who are newcomers or those who are not in practice with cycling, are not able to keep up to speeds at which most cyclist were going at. This group is made for a cause, and it should roll as a group in the streets of Karachi, so that people are able to see and recognize that this group is out not for cycling or excersizing, but out for a cause….I think that the organizers should not let any one go ahead of them, so that to keep the group in a formation. 🙂

Great leaders use to be followers once! Great leaders are nurtured by the society they are living in. What differs leaders from followers is their thinking! Their attitude which comes up from their beliefs. And I think beliefs are made by our parents or teachers or friends or any other person we meet during are life time. While we are growing are brains are very much like a soft dry sponge. In the early stages of life we tend to belief in each and every thing we hear or do. With time we realize that which one of our beliefs are wrong and which were right. Now here comes the part which I think is the most interesting one.
You need to be like a lion. Lion Beliefs that all the other animals are his food. Thats why he is the leader of the Animal Kingdom! The lion is not the smartest, nor the largest and not even the heaviest of all the animals in the animal Kingdom. His belief that all other animals are my lunch shapes his attitude. And his attitude then shapes his actions. 🙂
Every Animal in the jungle respects the Lion. The Lion is given respect due to his Attitude. And what shapes his Attitude is his belief.
I think that once we start to check our beliefs and change those beliefs which stop us from moving forward in life, we will be able to become great leaders! Now a days most of the Pakistani people are trying to find a leader, I think they should stop and look at them selfs for a change. I think if we start to belief that we can be leaders then only can Pakistan come back on its own feet.
“An army of Sheep led by a Lion will always defeat an army of Lions led by a Sheep!” (Dr. Myles Munroe)

19-12-10 we got together early in the morning to go for Snorkeling at Churna Island. We were in total 10 friends, some from Iqra Uni, and others from different Universities in Karachi. Our Group is called the Divers Reef. We love to snorkel and explore the beautiful coastal line that Pakistan has. Due to lack in distribution of good knowledge about our country these heavenly places get in the back of the line. And no attention is hence given to them. People go abroad to have relaxation time, leaving all these beautiful places behind. I think that as we should keep on going to these places and then share our experiences on the web with everyone, there might be a chance for these place to flourish as an International Tourist attraction one day.
